HOW IT WORKS

The ultimate way to own a Boat

The Yacht Collective shared ownership is a yacht syndication arrangement.  Owners purchase equity in a boat and pay a monthly fee for maintenance expenses and running costs (excluding fuel). Your 1/4 or 1/6 ownership in the boat entitles you to a minimum of 80 / 54 days respectively and unlimited standby access (see below).  As we only work with well recognised brands and all vessels are rigorously maintained the resale value at the conclusion of the term remains strong maximising your return.

How often can I get out boating?

Based on a 1/6 share you are entitled to 54 bookable days per year. These are divided into 18x peak ( weekend days/public holidays) and 36x non-peak days (weekdays).
Booking is completed by an online digital calendar which is broken evenly in to 3 trimesters as below so that you don't need to plan out all your days in advance at the start of the year.

Booking Trimesters are:
o 1 August – 31 November
o 1 December – 31 March
o 1 April – 31 July

You are also entitled to UNLIMITED standby days.  A standby day is one where after 3pm the day before OR by 10am the day of booking your boat is not otherwise booked. These are booked by contacting the vessel manager and the payment of a $150+GST admin/grooming fee. This is perfect when you wake up to a stunning day and have a yearning to get on the water and don't want to use up your bookable days.
