The Ultimate Way To Own A Boat

Syndication invites you to co-own a luxury vessel with multiple other carefully selected owners who share the costs and responsibility of the boat. Owners purchase equity as a 1/6th or 1/4th share and pay a monthly nominal fee for maintenance and running costs.

A fair and comprehensive booking system, managed by our team, makes splitting your time easy. This arrangement allows people to enjoy the benefits of boating without the full financial and operational burden of sole ownership.

All expenses are evenly split and paid on a monthly basis, making boat ownership more affordable for you. A fair and transparent monthly fee covers our management costs, insurance, maintenance, marina fees, cleaning, laundry and more!

Walk On / Walk Off

A fully managed program means everything is taken care of, bow to stern. All you need to do is book your days and turn up to a clean, maintained vessel. Once you return to the dock, simply refuel, lock up and leave, it's that simple!

Vessels are berthed in a prime Westhaven Marina location in Auckland, not far from our main sales office. Parking and all amenities are within arms reach and a marina fuel dock makes refuelling on the way in easy.

Backed by the wider team of 36° Brokers, we are the exclusive dealer for BENETEAU and EXCESS in New Zealand. All vessels are maintained by the dealer brand servicing team. New models include a 7 year hull warranty.

Choose Your Boat, Buy Your Share!

Select from our currently available models, new or preowned, or talk to us about our selection of vessels available for order. With sufficient interest and minimum shares sold in a particular vessel, we proceed with an order!

Book Your Days and Plan Your Trip

Bookings are available quarterly, allowing you to secure a mix of peak and non-peak days or take advantage of the unlimited standby days. Our well-honed and fair booking system has evolved over the years for your convenience and absolute fairness.

Turn Up to a Well Maintained Vessel

Cleaned, fueled, with beds made and basic amenities stocked, you can effortlessly cast off and set sail! A fully managed vessel eliminates any hassle, allowing you to make the most of every moment onboard.

Return to Port, Tie Up and Go!

Once you return to shore, simply refuel, tie up, remove your rubbish, shutdown the vessel and go! It's that simple! All cleaning and maintenance will be taken care of from there.

Transparent Cost Reports

Owners are provided with an annual budget and transparent financial statements so there aren't any surprises. Leveraging our industry connections, we maintain vessels to a high standard while keeping costs down.

Sell At Any Time

The boat's syndicate agreement typically runs for four years with an option to extend to five, but you can still sell at any time using our brokerage service. Should an owner wish to upgrade or switch to a different model, this can be arranged.

How Often Can I Go Boating?

54 Bookable Days Per Year

Based on a 1/6 share, you are entitled to 54 bookable days per year. These are divided into 18 peak days (weekend days/public holidays) and 36 non-peak days (weekdays). Booking is completed by an online digital calendar, which is broken evenly into 3 trimesters.

Unlimited Standby Days

UNLIMITED standby days are able to be used when your boat is not booked, after 3 PM the day before or by 10 AM the day of booking. Book directly with our management and pay a small $150+GST admin/grooming fee. It's perfect when you want to get on the water on a whim without using up your bookable days.

Our management fee covers:

  • General maintenance & servicing
  • Insurance
  • Berthage & marina costs
  • Management & bookings
  • Full cleaning, linen and laundry

Our management fee does not cover:

  • Fuel costs
  • Unexpected damage or breakdowns
  • Upgraded equipment or new installations
  • Food, drinks, etc
Education

What If I Need Training?

Whether you’re completely new to skippering a bigger boat, or a seasoned captain, we ensure all syndicate owners have sufficient training to protect your investment. In purchasing a share with The Yacht Collective you can expect to receive:

  • On board training with a commercially qualified skipper including docking practice
  • State of the art technology in drive/manoeuvring systems to make docking and anchoring as simple and stress free as possible
  • Custom lines and dock fenders for easy berthing
  • On call advice and troubleshooting
  • Coastguard membership for 24/7 on water assistance
  • Additional on water training/refreshers where required at a cost effective hourly rate

What's Included with the Boat?

The Yacht Collective managed boats are typically specified to a high level for simple and comfortable boating. Extra requests for additional items can be fitted at the discretion of other shareholders. Depending on the model of boat, our most common features include:

  • Bow/Stern thrusters and/or joystick control on certain models
  • Upgraded engine options for fuel efficiency and performance
  • Built in power inverters and Shore power for 240VAC use
  • Diesel heating
  • High quality interior fitouts including comfortable bedding, linen and towels
  • Safety gear inc. Lifejackets, Flares, EPIRB, Charts etc
  • Tender and outboard with custom stainless rear rails and davits (depending on model of boat)
